The 1975 named hardest working touring band of 2014

The 1975 have come out top in a list of 2014's hardest working bands.

Gig listing website Songkick say the band have performed a total of 195 shows this year.

They travelled nearly 250,000 kilometres and visited 29 countries.

Speaking about the accolade, The 1975 commented: "Touring this past year has been a really humbling experience.

"Our album was pretty much the story of the last decade of our lives, to see so many people around the world connecting with it has been incredible. We are very proud of our fans, they really understand what we are doing and the shows are an extension of that feeling."

Future Islands, who were No.2 on the concert list, performed 159 gigs in total, with New Politics playing 153.

In terms of the amount of travelling, Jake Bugg was second with over 226,000 kilometres.
