Meghan Trainor plans new musical direction: "I want it to be crazy"

American singer Meghan Trainor is already making plans to change her musical style.

Despite her debut album ‘Title’ still awaiting it’s January 2015 release, Meghan is looking forward to trying out music genres that differ from the pop sound of her singles.

The 'All About That Bass' star told Bang Showbiz: “I want it to be crazy. I want it to be awesome. I want it to be different… I wanna be like, 'yo - I wanna get my reggae out there!'”

Whilst admitting to her love of doo-wop, the 22-year-old star insists that there is more to her as an artist:

“As a songwriter, I'm not just shoo-woppy. It's just clicked… My favourite part of the doo-wop style is that it's timeless. You can sing 'Build Me Up Buttercup' and everyone's, like, 'This is my jam!'”

Meghan Trainor releases ‘Title’ on January 9 and will commence her ‘That Bass Tour’ in February 2015.
