Charli XCX reveals what motivated her to be a singer

'Boom Clap' songstress Charli XCX has revealed that she always dreamed of touring the world with her music so worked hard to pursue her ultimate goal. 

Speaking to MTV News in a short Instagram video clip, the songstress admitted that music was always her main passion: "For me, making music has always been what I wanted to do. I wanted to tour the world and be a badass!"

On January 3, the beauty took to her official Twitter page to share details of her New Year's resolutions and wrote: "New Year's resolutions: look after house plants/be a better child."

The 'Boom Clap' sensation also recently announced details of a full UK headlining tour that will kick off in Brighton on March 24. The full schedule is as follows:

  • March 24 - Brighton, Concorde 2
  • March 25 - London, O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire
  • March 27 - Glasgow, QMU
  • March 28 - Sheffield, Plug
  • March 30 - Oxford, O2 Academy
  • March 31 - Manchester, Academy 2
  • April 1 - Nottingham, Rescue Rooms
  • April 2 - Birmingham, Institute
