Paul Akister will play two dates on the X Factor live tour next month.

The singer ended in ninth place on the show, but he has been given a chance to perform in his local city Manchester.

The wannabe will play at the Manchester Arena on February 20 and 21.

The move came after a plea from judge Mel B to let Akister play in Manchester after being dumped from the show early on.

The X Factor live tour will open on February 13 in Belfast, with dates running through to March 21.

The 2014 series meanwhile was won by Ben Haenow.
