Clean Bandit star suggests Brits are dominated by 'white boys': 'It's a problem'

Clean Bandit's Milan Neil Amin-Smith believes the Brit Awards are unfairly dominated by white men.

The awards ceremony announced their 2015 nominees on Thursday (January 15) and the likes of Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Royal Blood were nominated multiple times.

Clean Bandit are up for two awards, but Amin-Smith told BBC Newsbeat that acts like Kwabs and MNEK may have lost out on nominations because of their skin colour, with "white boys" ruling the roost.

He said: "It seems a bit weird and a problem.

"It's bizarre. The Oscars [nominees] were announced today and it was all white men doing everything.

"I think there is something that needs talking about there."

Clean Bandit meanwhile are up for the British Group and British Single ('Rather Be') Brit Awards.
