James Bay says the title of his forthcoming debut album represents the manic time he is having at the moment.

The rising singer-songwriter was named late last year as the recipient of the 2015 Critics' Choice Brit Award.

He will collect the prize at the ceremony on February 25 and his maiden record 'Chaos and Calm' will follow on March 23.

Speaking to Digital Spy about the album, Bay commented:

"It totally sums up the whole journey leading up to the recording of it, and really just every day for me at the moment."

Talking meanwhile about his Critics' Choice win, the Brit added:

"It's not really sunk in. It's a funny one as well, because it's very much the beginning.

"I've got a lot to prove because I've won this thing, and I've got a lot to show because I haven't even released my debut album yet."
