Fall Out Boy: 'We'll continue as long as we have ideas'

Fall Out Boy insist they will keep being active whilst they have "ideas" for new music.

The US rock group went on hiatus in 2009 before resuming with the 2013 record 'Save Rock and Roll'.

They unleashed their latest effort 'American Beauty/American Psycho' in the UK today (January 19).

Speaking to Digital Spy, the group said that they don't plan on having another prolonged break - unless their inspiration runs dry.

Patrick Stump said: "We'll definitely keep doing records and touring. As long as we have ideas, as long as we're not just going through the motions."

Pete Wentz added: "You know the moment after you get hit and you see stars for a minute and you think you have this f**king revelation and then you come back to it? That's how we felt when the title track came out.

"Everyone was like what the f**k!? Then everyone came back to it and was like 'Cool!' I think whatever we do next has to be like that, it's gotta hit somebody and they see stars in a different way. Last time, it was all these videos that created narratives, next time it'll be something else. I think that it's got to be fresh and interesting for ourselves."
