Fans are being encouraged to vote in the Pop Choice Awards for their favourite new pop act and there is one group currently taking the lead with an impressive 48% of the vote. 

Pop Choice Awards have a shortlist of acts to choose from and it includes 5 Seconds Of Summer, British singer-songwriter Sam Smith, Shawn Mendes, 'All About That Bass' beauty Meghan Trainor, and Fifth Harmony, who are currently in first place. 

Voting is open until February 20 and you can click here to cast yours now. Ally Brooke Hernandez, of Fifth Harmony fame, recently opened up about her group's forthcoming debut album and confessed that she's proud of what they achieved with the record:

"Two years - our fans and y'all have been so patient! (I'm proud of) the blood, sweat and tears that we've put into it. Also, some of the messages in the songs... there's some vulnerability on it [...] I think I'm really excited and proud of it because we put so much work into it. It shows how we found our sound and who we are as artists."
