Royal Blood and The Vaccines have been added to the line-up of this year's NME Awards.

The publication are hosting their annual awards ceremony at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on February 18.

The first performers have been revealed, with Royal Blood, The Vaccines and Run The Jewels confirmed.

EL-P of Run The Jewels commented: "We don't know that much about it, but NME has given us amazing love, so when we heard about it, we just said 'of course, we'd love to'."

Kasabian meanwhile lead the nominations for the awards with eight nods in sections like Best British Band and Best Album.

Brighton duo Royal Blood have seven nominations.
