Meghan Trainor debuts at No.1 on US albums chart

Meghan Trainor has rocketed to No.1 on the US albums chart.

The singer's debut effort 'Title' sold 238,000 units over the last week to land at the top of the Billboard 200.

This means that Trainor is the 13th woman in US chart history to have hit No.1 with both their debut single and album.

The star's 2014 effort 'All About That Bass' topped the chart for eight weeks.

Other females who have achieved the feat include Britney Spears, who reigned with her '...Baby One More Time' combo in 1999.

Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey have all also seen their debut single and album top the US chart.
