Producer Diplo has spoken out about his relationship with Taylor Swift in a new interview with GQ and described her as being 'strategic with her friends and enemies'. 

The magazine initially ran the following quote as part of its feature on music industry professionals who were involved in something important back in 2014, but it has since been removed from the site. It read: "Taylor Swift is very strategic with her friends and enemies. And I know lots of secrets. I can't divulge, but I know a lot of stuff about her. And I'm scared. I'm scared for my life."

Billboard has now updated its coverage on the situation and explained that a representative for GQ has explained to them that "the quote was removed because the full Diplo story provides context" and it will be updated in due course. 

After GQ removed the quote from the article, they replaced it with another quote that referenced his recent run-in with Lorde: "So many great albums came out that week, and all people talked about, on all the big press, was Me vs. Lorde, and Kim Kardashian's butt. No one covered any music. And it's funny, because me and Lorde, we're actually friends."
