Meghan Trainor has picked Niall Horan as the member of One Direction she'd like to date the most.

The singer has been linked with the group this week after revealing that she has written and recorded a duet with Harry Styles.

In a recent interview with Capital FM, the US star was asked which member of One Direction she would like to go on a Valentine's Day date with.

Trainor replied: "Oh let's get the fancy boys! One Direction, give me the blonde one! He's a gentleman.

"All the other boys walked by and he came up to me, I got swept off my feet [by his Irish charm]!"

Speaking about her favourite type of person to date, the 'All About That Bass' star said:

"I like normal people. I like funny, normal, nice people. I like those!"
