Meghan Trainor shoots to top of UK albums chart

Meghan Trainor is No.1 on the midweek UK albums chart.

The US star released her debut album 'Title' in the country on Monday (January 26).

The Official Charts Company have confirmed that the record is 5,000 units ahead at No.1 on the today's (January 28) midweek update.

At No.2 on the update is Ed Sheeran's 2014 effort 'x', whilst Charlatans' new entry 'Modern Nature' is No.3.

Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Special' is No.4 whilst Rae Morris is a new entry at No.5 with 'Unguarded'.

Other new entries include Papa Roach's 'F.E.A.R' at No.8 and Gaz Coombes' 'Matador', which is No.13.

Selena Gomez's 'For You' is a new entry at No.33.
