Adrienne Bailon on releasing new music: 'I'm really scared to fail'

Songstress Adrienne Bailon has opened up about her anxiety surrounding new music and confessed that she's worried how fans will react to it because it has been such a long time since she released any material.

The star is now a host on the U.S. daytime talk show 'The Real' and got emotional discussing the pressures she feels surrounding her career as a singer earlier this week while she was on air:

"I'm scared to fail, so I've had this solo album people that I've been saying is coming out for the last five years... When I finished Cheetah Girls, I got a record deal at Def Jam and it didn't go the way I thought it was gonna go. Like there was so much more to music than just what I love about music..."

"I felt like the music business was different than when I got in the game at 16 years old... And to step out on my own and let my voice be heard, I'm scared... What if people don't like it?... What if it's not successful?... I would rather it not come out and just say, 'Well it just never came out,' than for it come out and be whack (bad)."
