Miranda Lambert leads ACM nominations with 7 nods

Songstress Miranda Lambert is leading the ACM Awards nominations with an impressive 7 nods, it has been confirmed

The nominees were announced earlier today (January 30) and Lambert has been recognised in the Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist, Album of the Year for 'Platinum', Song of the Year for 'Automatic', Single Record of the Year, Video of the Year for 'Somethin' Bad', and Vocal Event of the Year. 

'Home' hitmaker Dierks Bentley also has a whopping 7 nominations, 'The Voice' coach Blake Shelton is up for Male Vocalist, and former 'American Idol' alum Carrie Underwood has been nominated for 3 prizes at this year's ceremony. 

Miranda Lambert, meanwhile, walked away with a total of four gongs at 2014's Country Music Awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, Single Of The Year ('Automatic') and Album Of The Year ('Platinum'). The 2015 ACM Awards ceremony is set to take place in Texas on April 19.
