Katy Perry's Super Bowl performance inspires charity campaign for environmental organisations

Pop sensation Katy Perry's recent Super Bowl Half Time show has inspired a charity campaign that is raising funds for environmental causes.

A guy named David Lam (pictured left) set up a page on Indiegogo and is using Katy Perry's dancing Super Bowl sharks to fundraise for the World Wildlife Fund and the Wildlife Conservation Society.

He is offering people the chance to own shark suit stickers, shark suit cloth templates, and pre-made shark suits for varying prices and every item bought through the campaign will benefit environmental nonprofit organisations. Lam posted on the site:

"It's no secret that our earth is suffering and our wildlife is in big trouble. Let's work together to do something about it! With your help, we will select an environmental nonprofit to benefit such as World Wildlife Fund or the Wildlife Conservation Society. 100% of the profits will be donated."

So far, the campaign has raised an impressive $8,366 (£5,501) and the target set was $5,000 (£3,288). Check out the project and donate to the fantastic cause here
