Songstress Meghan Trainor has opened up about romance and revealed that she’s willing to wait for the right guy to come along while her music career takes the spotlight in her life.

During a new interview with Seventeen magazine, the beauty confessed that she’s currently putting her career first so boys aren’t really a priority right now: 

“I knew my life would be complicated if my dreams of becoming a success in music came true. And I knew I’d have to work hard to achieve those dreams, and that they’d have to take a front seat in my life. So even though I went crazy in high school, now I haven’t kissed a boy in forever. I keep telling myself that the right guy is going to be worth the wait.”

Back in January, Trainor joked that if she were to date at the moment, she would like a trust fund guy who could pay for her mother to tour with her: 

"My mum wants me to date a pop star as they'll understand what my life is like. I was thinking that maybe I should date a trust fund boy! The [record] label doesn't pay for my mum to travel with me. My mum's a hard worker; she's a jeweller, so she can't afford to come out here. I need a trust fund boy who doesn't need a job because he's rich and can stay by my side and who can be like, 'No babe, I'm here, we're good, I can afford this!'"
