Bruno Mars enjoys his longest Hot 100 reign in the U.S. with 'Uptown Funk'

Singer-songwriter Bruno Mars has just spent his seventh week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Uptown Funk', which has given him his longest stay at No.1 yet.

The anthemic track has granted Mars his longest command at the top of the chart in the USA among his six No.1 singles, which can be seen in order of time spent at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 below.

Mark Ronson and Mars' hit single recently became one of the UK’s biggest-selling singles of all time and joined the million sellers club just ten weeks after its release, making it the 158th single to reach the sales milestone in British charts history.

Music Business Weekly recently suggested that 'Uptown Funk' is earning a cool $100,000 (£64.9k) per week through plays on music streaming service Spotify. Forbes magazine explained how the estimate was projected and reported that the "figure comes from a rough calculation of the total number of plays—now over 125 million and growing—multiplied by the rough estimate that Spotify has given for how much they pay out per stream—$0.007—divided by the eight weeks the song has been charting so impressively".
