The likes of Kasabian and Avicii have been confirmed for this year's T in the Park.

The Scottish festival is hosting its event for the first time at Strathallan Castle over July 10-12.

Its first batch of acts have been announced and the Friday night will see Kasabian, David Guetta and Sam Smith top the bill.

Also playing the opening night are Rudimental, Hozier, Annie Mac, The Wombats, Gorgon City and Fuse ODG.

The Saturday night will be headlined by The Libertines and Avicii, with the likes of The Script, Twin Atlantic, alt-J and Jessie J due to perform.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will top the bill on Sunday alongside The Prodigy, whilst Stereophonics, Jamie T and Paloma Faith will also play.

Tickets will go on sale from 9am UK time on February 27.
