Charli XCX: 'I don't care about having a hit album'

Charli XCX has stated that she isn't fussed about getting a No.1 album.

The singer released her latest album 'Sucker' in the UK this week after a series of delays.

Speaking to NME, the Brit said that she is more concerned about touring the music in front of fans than achieving commercial success.

Charli XCX said: "I don't really care about having a hit album, because like, what is that, like 10 copies now? I don't care about having the number one album, I just care that my UK fans can get my album and come and see me live.

"I don't care about the chart position and all of that sh*t, that's not why I do this. I care about being able to go on my first ever UK headline tour. I have never played in Sheffield. I'm very excited to go to Sheffield."

'Sucker' meanwhile landed at No.13 on the UK midweek albums chart update on Wednesday (February 18).
