Former X Factor contestant Andrea Faustini has put pen to paper on a record deal.

The singer, who finished third on the UK TV talent show in 2014, has signed with RCA.

The vocalist said in a statement: "Only a year ago I was a normal student in Italy with a dream to sing.

"Thanks to the UK public my dream is about to become a reality and I can't wait to work with RCA and show everyone what I can do."

Faustini is expected to release an album of original material this year.

Both X Factor 2014 winner Ben Haenow and runner-up Fleur East have also signed record deals.
