The 87th Academy Awards took place in Hollywood last night (February 22) and the most liked Instagram picture of the star-studded event has now been revealed. 

Actor Ansel Elgort shared a snapshot of himself with his date, who was his glamorous mother, and the Huffington Post confirmed that it was liked on the photo sharing app by a staggering 719,000 users, making it the most popular image of the night.

Elgort rose to fame after playing the role of Augustus Waters in the movie adaptation of 'The Fault In Our Stars' and recently made headlines after confessing that he lost his virginity at the age of 14: "I had no clue what I was doing, and neither did the girl. I didn’t even make the lighting good. That’d be one thing I’d do differently. It was, like, fluorescent, bright bedroom light, like, over the covers."

He added: "I like to go on really nice dates. I've made some money, but I don't spend it on anything besides my rent. But I go to nice dinners. And I like to go with a girl. I prefer being with a girlfriend longterm. I prefer to be with someone I can trust. I'm more into that."
