Other nominees included Calvin Harris - 'Summer', Clean Bandit Ft Jess Glynne - 'Rather Be', Duke Dumont Ft Jax Jones - 'I Got U', Ed Sheeran - 'Thinking Out Loud', Ella Henderson - 'Ghost', George Ezra - 'Budapest', Route 94 Ft Jess Glynne - 'My Love', Sam Smith - 'Stay With Me', and Sigma - 'Nobody To Love'.

Ronson thanked collaborator Bruno Mars in his acceptance speech and said: "This is incredible. This is freaking me out a bit. I wouldn't be holding this award if it weren't for the world's most amazing Hawaiian, Bruno Mars!"

Comedian John Bishop then presented the award for the Best International Group, which went to the Foo Fighters. They beat the likes of The War on Drugs, 5 Seconds Of Summer, The Black Keys and First Aid Kit.
