Cameron Diaz on social media: 'It's dangerous and weird to seek validation from strangers'

Superstar actress Cameron Diaz, who recently tied the knot with Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden (pictured left), has revealed that she doesn't like social media because it's odd to seek validation from people around the world that you don't know personally.

Speaking to the new U.S. edition of Cosmopolitan magazine, the beauty explained that it's dangerous to be always seeking approval from strangers and for that reason she sees things like Twitter and Instagram as a messed up social experiment:

“I think social media is a crazy-ass experiment in society. The way people use it to get validation from a bunch of strangers is dangerous. What’s the point?”

While she doesn't keep herself active on the Internet, there is one activity that Diaz always makes time for and that is love making. She added to the publication: "It's something healthy that we need to be doing for many different reasons."
