Rixton on debut album: 'It means a lot to us because it's so personal and was such a long process'

British pop-rock band Rixton have finally unveiled their debut studio album, 'Let The Road', and singer Jake Roche has now opened up about the 10-song collection in a new interview with AT40.

Speaking about the record, which took around six years to finish and release, Roche admitted that it means a lot to them and they're very proud of it:

“The album means a lot to us just because it’s been a long process. It’s been about six years since we first started thinking about it. From there, it’s just developed. We recorded it in New York, which now has become a very special place for us. It does mean a lot to us because it’s some of our life experiences and we just can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Roche went onto add that his favourite song on the album is 'Beautiful Excuses', which he described as being about an ex-girlfriend of his and "making up excuses to stay with someone". Rixton, meanwhile, are currently in America where they are supporting Ariana Grande on tour and promoting 'Let The Road'.
