Disney confirm Frozen 2 plans

Disney have revealed that a full sequel to Frozen is being made.

The original animated film was released in 2013 and it has become a worldwide hit.

Rumours of a follow-up have been simmering for months, but Disney have now confirmed the news.

Writing on Twitter on Thursday (March 12), they said:

"Forecast: Winter weather ahead! @DisneyAnimation developing #Frozen2 with Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee."

A new short film called Frozen Fever will be released from March 27 as Disney revisit the 2013 film's characters.

The original feature-length Frozen meanwhile featured the likes of Idina Menzel in its voice cast.

Its song 'Let It Go' has become a favourite with children and adults alike.

The plot sees Princess Elsa embark on an adventure to find her estranged sister.
