Natalia Kills denies X Factor New Zealand sacking was publicity stunt

Natalia Kills has dismissed accusations that she got fired from the New Zealand X Factor to gain publicity.

Husband and wife duo Kills and Willy Moon were sacked from the programme after making disparaging comments about contestant Joe Irvine on Sunday (March 15).

The Brit accused the singer of copying her husband, adding: "I'm embarrassed to be sitting here in your presence having to dignify that with an opinion."

Speaking about the incident for the first time, Kills told MTV Australia that there are "many sides" to the story, adding that it wasn't a ploy to get noticed.

She said: "I feel like everyone needs to put the idea of it being a manufactured conspiracy theory behind them, there's really nothing to it.

"I love my husband with all of my heart, we'll stick together no matter what."

Kills added: "There are many sides to this story and I am not about to get an entire industry in trouble that has been going on for years and years entertaining the masses, so thank you absolutely everyone for your support. Thank you to all of my fans. Thank you to my husband.

"I would like to wish Joe Irvine and my boys' category all the best on the show."
