Tributes paid after Rock School's Lil' Chris dies aged 24

Lil' Chris has died at the age of 24.

The singer found fame in the mid-2000s on the UK reality show Rock School, which starred Gene Simmons.

The Brit - real name Christopher James Hardman - later starred in the West End musical Loserville.

It is understood that he had suffered from depression.

Police said in a statement: "Police investigating sudden death of a man in Lowestoft can confirm they are not treating it as suspicious."

McFly man Harry Judd posted on Twitter today (March 24):

"Shocked and saddened to hear the news about Lil' Chris. He supported us a while back and was a little star and an awesome guy. #RIPChris."

Collaborator Lloyd Wilkinson posted on Facebook:

"I can not believe I'm doing this and I'm completely devastated.

"Rest in peace brother bear. Love you mate. Chris Hardman aka Lil' Chris."
