Mark Ronson and Kendrick Lamar top US charts

Mark Ronson and Kendrick Lamar are celebrating this week after topping the US charts.

The former's hit track 'Uptown Funk' has now spent its twelfth week at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It is now only the fifteenth song in the history of the chart to have topped the list for twelve weeks.

Maroon 5's 'Sugar' is No.2 on the chart, whilst Ed Sheeran follows at No.3 with 'Thinking Out Loud'.

On the US albums chart meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar's new effort 'To Pimp A Butterfly' debuts at No.1.

It sold a total of 363,000 units in the week ending March 22.

It gives the hip-hop man his first No.1 in the US.
