Brian Wilson says Lana Del Rey 'cancelled' recording session

Brian Wilson has claimed that Lana Del Rey pulled out of recording a song with him.

The sultry star was due to appear on the Beach Boy's new album 'No Pier Pressure', which is released on April 7.

However, their mooted track 'Last Song' did not appear on the final cut.

Speaking to Vulture, Wilson said that Del Rey killed off the collaboration by pulling out of the project.

He said: "She just cancelled out on us."

Wilson added that he decided not to feature Frank Ocean on the record, saying:

"He wanted to do rap, so we cancelled him."

Singers who do feature on the album, however, include Nate Ruess and Kacey Musgraves.
