Blur members' all-time favourite albums include Ellie Goulding and Radiohead

Iconic band Blur are set to release their eighth studio album, 'The Magic Whip', on April 27 and to celebrate the exciting event the members have now revealed their all-time favourite records.

Damon Albarn, Alex James, Dave Rowntree and Graham Coxon have all listed their favourite albums on iTunes and the collection is incredibly eclectic.

Frontman Albarn chose Bobby Womack's 1981 offering 'The Poet' and explained: I could have chosen three or four of Bobby's. Records that kill me every time. Along with Tony Allen, he's one of the biggest inspirations of my musical life."

Alex James revealed that he loves 'Halcyon Days' by Ellie Goulding and he praised her authenticity: "Love her songs. She's the real deal in a world of bogus pop pretenders." Dave Rowntree chose Radiohead's 'OK Computer': Hard to pick which Radiohead album is the best, as they're all like old friends." Graham Coxon picked Depeche Mode's 'Speak and Spell', adding: "Some of the best bubble gum pop ever created and not a guitar in sight! Genius."
