George Ezra on going sober for a month: 'I had to stop drinking'

George Ezra says he took a month-long break from alcohol because he couldn't keep on drinking.

The singer told The Sun that he avoided booze for four weeks after the Brit Awards in February.

This is because he "couldn't keep up" his pace of drinking anymore.

Ezra said: "I realised I'd been drinking for 18 months. I had to stop it, I couldn't keep up.

"I had to chill out. I should have waved my white flag two weeks before The Brits.

"It got to the point that, even if I wanted to carry on, I couldn't. I was exhausted."

The 'Budapest' star added: "I had to pull two shows in the UK so I didn't drink for four weeks."
