The first wave of nominees for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards were released earlier this morning (April 7) and the final list has now been shared. 

The initial announcement saw the likes of Taylor Swift, Sam Smith and Ariana Grande score multiple nods, One Direction earned a nomination in the Top Artist category, and Ed Sheeran was mentioned in the Billboard 200 Albums category. 

Now, the other categories have been confirmed and 5 Seconds Of Summer are up for Top New Artist. They'll go head to head with the likes of Iggy Azalea, Hozier, Sam Smith and Meghan Trainor for the title. The 'Don't Stop' punk-pop heroes are also in the running for Top Duo/Group and it'll be a tough competition as they will face Florida Georgia Line, MAGIC!, Maroon 5 and One Direction for the prize. 

Iggy Azalea, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor are up for Top Digital Songs Artist, and Top Touring Artist sees the likes of Lady Gaga, One Direction, Katy Perry, Rolling Stones and Justin Timberlake up for the award.
