Joe Jonas on Zayn Malik's 1D departure: 'A decision like that isn't easy'

Hitmaker Joe Jonas, formerly of Jonas Brothers fame, has revealed that he feels for Zayn Malik after hearing that the sensation had quit One Direction because he knows how hard it is to walk away from an opportunity like that.

Speaking to Hollywood Life recently, the heartthrob confessed that Malik's decision to leave 1D wouldn't have been an easy one and he hopes that making this big life change turns out to be what the star wanted:

"Look, I went through it myself and Nick [Jonas], my brother, tweeted the other day that sometimes you have to go through some tough decisions to find true happiness and I stick behind him on that... You know it is not easy. They are under so much scrutiny in their spotlight. And to live a normal free life is difficult, sometimes you want to be a kid and you want to grow up. To find normalcy in the craziness is the most important."

Malik, meanwhile, is scheduled to make his first public appearance since quitting One Direction later this week at the 5th Asian Awards, which will be held in London on April 17.
