The 2015 Billboard Music Awards event is fast-approaching and details of new performers have now been confirmed. 

This year's ceremony, which is due to be held on May 17, will see live sets from the likes of Nick Jonas, 'Take Me To Church' singer Hozier, and British sensation Sam Smith.

'Stay With Me' hitmaker Smith, meanwhile, has been nominated for a phenomenal 13 prizes at the BBMAs and details of other nominees can be seen here. The ceremony will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17 from 8-11pm ET on ABC in the USA. Superstar Taylor Swift leads all nominees for the Billboard Music Awards with 14 nods in a total of 13 categories.
