Country icon Reba McEntire has revealed that she's so proud of Kelly Clarkson for everything she has accomplished in both her personal life and career. 

McEntire is stepmother to Clarkson's husband Brandon Blackstock and has known the 32-year-old songstress for years, so the praise she recently laid upon her comes from a place of love and familiarity. She told Access Hollywood Live:

"I want everybody to know who's watching today that Kelly Clarkson is the happiest I've ever seen her. I've known her since 2002 when she won the first 'American Idol' and she asked me to come on the finale to sing with her because I was her idol. I have watched her grow, I have watched her become one of the greatest entertainers, the greatest singers, and grow with that."

Clarkson, meanwhile, recently sat down for an interview with Redbook magazine and opened up about accepting herself fully: "I don’t obsess about my weight, which is probably one of the reasons why other people have such a problem with it. There are just some people who are born skinny and with a great metabolism – that is not me. I wish I had a better metabolism. But someone else probably wishes they could walk into a room and make friends with everyone like I can. You always want what someone else has."
