AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd pleads guilty to threatening to kill

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has pleaded guilty to threatening to kill.

The New Zealand based musician has also submitted a guilty plea for charges of possessing methamphetamine and cannabis.

The sticksman was originally charged late last year with the offences and a previous charge of conspiring to hire a hitman to kill someone was quickly dropped.

The 60-year-old was due to stand trial on the two remaining charges today (April 21), but guilty pleas have now been entered.

Rudd has been remanded on bail and will face sentencing on June 26.

The drummer recorded parts for AC/DC's 2014 album 'Rock or Bust', but he was replaced by Chris Slade for the band's 2015 touring duties.
