Morgan Spurlock: 'One Direction had something really special together'

'This Is Us' director Morgan Spurlock has revealed that he was disappointed to learn that Zayn Malik had quit the band because he thought that One Direction were a fantastic five-piece.

Speaking to TMZ recently, Spurlock admitted that he loved the dynamic Malik shared with the other lads, namely Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles, and it's a shame their collective path has now come to an end:

"I think all those guys together are fantastic. They had something really special together, and you can't fault Zayn for wanting to leave. People have to make their own decisions in life."

Spurlock went onto add that he believes Harry Styles will be the next member to leave: "I think they'll stay together for a little while. I think they'll stay together for a little bit longer, and then I think at some point Harry [Styles] will probably leave. I think that Niall [Horan] and Louis [Tomlinson] and [Liam Payne], I think that the three of those guys are going to become like the new Bel Biv Devoe."
