Shawn Mendes talks about his 10-year plan

'Stitches' hitmaker Shawn Mendes has revealed that his main goal is to enjoy longevity with his music.

During an interview with Nick Lachey on VH1, the superstar explained that he doesn't have a 10-year-plan and just hopes that he's still within the music industry in some capacity in the future because songwriting and singing are his two main passions:

"I'm always wary on trying to guess. Hopefully I'm still on stage, but if not I'm sure I'll be writing songs somewhere. I'm never going to stop doing music so that's fun... but yeah, hopefully on stage somewhere."

Back in April, the 16-year-old heartthrob told Billboard that fame hasn't changed him and it isn't likely to because he is very much still the kid who launched his career on Vine: "If I dressed like a celebrity that’d be one thing, but this is how I dressed a year ago, and this is how I still dress now."
