Collabro describe One Direction as 'The Avengers of pop'

Britain's Got Talent winners Collabro recently shot a cover for GT magazine with photographer James Burton and in the accompanying interview they opened up about global pop phenomenon One Direction, who recently lost a member after Zayn Malik decided to quit. 

The boys talked about the incredible success of 1D and explained that they must be under intense pressure so every move they make is magnified and scrutinised:

"To be fair, even we, who’ve had a number one album, have NO idea what happens in that band. They’re like The Avengers of pop, aren’t they? They’re under a world of pressure we can’t even begin to understand – and they’re actually younger than a lot of us. Zayn Malik is THREE years younger than me."

Jamie Lambert added that One Direction didn't even enjoy normal lives as teenagers because they were catapulted to fame during their time on 'The X Factor', so he's impressed that they're so "grounded":

"They didn’t have that time at school when they could have normal lives, like we did. One Direction were teenagers when they started and their global success has been faster than anyones! They’re such grounded people, considering..."
