Taylor Swift is one of the big names due to feature in a new Billboard Music Awards documentary.

The Billboard Music Awards: An Insider's Guide will air on ABC on May 16.

It the hour-long programme will feature interviews with acts such as Swift, Ed Sheeran and Pete Wentz.

The special, which is hosted by Good Morning America's Lara Spencer, will look into life on the road with Sheeran and Irish star Hozier.

The documentary will also focus on the rise of women in the music industry.

The feature will air one day before this year's Billboard Music Awards.

Swift has 14 nominations for the ceremony, whilst Sam Smith follows with 13.
