Ryan Murphy: 'I miss Cory Monteith every day'

'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that the tragic passing of actor Cory Monteith is one of the 'greatest tragedies' he has ever personally known.

It would have been Monteith's 33rd birthday on Monday, May 11 and speaking to People magazine at the EW/PEOPLE Upfronts party in New York City, Murphy explained that he misses the talented youngster every day and still can't believe he's gone:

“It’s always hard when I speak about Cory because I miss Cory. It’s a very sort of sad feeling when I think about him. I miss him. I loved him."

Murphy went onto add that he often thinks fondly about Monteith: "I think about him every day… I think that he was taken too soon, [that’s] one of the great tragedies to me.”

Monteith's former girlfriend, 'Glee' co-star Lea Michele, posted a touching tribute to him on what would have been his birthday and wrote: "I know you're serenading everyone right now... We love you Cory! Happy Birthday."
