OMI makes it three weeks at No. 1 with 'Cheerleader'

For a third consecutive week, ‘Cheerleader’ by OMI is the UK’s No. 1 single.

Despite the mid-week chart prediction which had OMI losing his chart crown, the reggae-pop track managed to beat its closest competitor by a combined sales total of 11,000 copies and was the most streamed song of the week with 3.16 million plays.

‘Bills’ by Lunchmoney Lewis has had to settle for a No. 2 debut entry this week, but was in fact the most-purchased song in the UK over the past seven days.

Down one to No. 3 this week is ‘See You Again’ by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth. ‘Runaway (U and I)’ by Galantis is another new entry at No. 4. Rounding off the Top Five is ‘Lean On’ by Major Lazer featuring MO and DJ Snake, a non-mover at No. 5.

The third and final new entry to this week’s Top 40 chart is ‘Hey Mama’, a David Guetta track alongside Nicki Minaj and Afrojack, which has climbed 30 places to reach No. 17.
