Taylor Swift was the night's main winner at this year's Billboard Music Awards.

The singer won a total of eight prizes at the ceremony on Sunday (May 17).

She won the likes of Top Artist, Top 200 Album, Top Female Artist, Top Digital Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist.

Swift also bagged the Top Streaming Song and Billboard Chart Achievement Award gongs.

One Direction meanwhile picked up Top Duo/Group and Top Touring Artist.

Rapper Iggy Azalea went home with a number of awards - such as Top Streaming Artist and Top Rap Artist - whilst Sam Smith was named Top Male Artist and Top New Artist.

Other winners included Florida Georgia Line, Pharrell Williams and Hozier.
