Natalie La Rose set for No.1 in the UK with single 'Somebody'

Songstress Natalie La Rose has shot straight into the top spot on the UK Top 40 during today's (June 3) midweek chart update with her popular single, 'Somebody'.

The track, which also features hitmaker Jeremih, re-interprets Whitney Houston’s 1987 No.1 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)' and LMFAO’s 'Shots' and is ahead of its nearest competitor (Jason Derulo's 'Want To Want Me' at No.2) by nearly 5,000 combined sales.

OMI’s 'Cheerleader' is set for an eighth week in the Top 5 and it's trailed by Lawson, who are on track to score their highest charting single in three years with 'Roads' at 4. Taylor Swift’s 'Bad Blood' ft. Kendrick Lamar is at No.5.

Elsewhere on the UK Top 40, Florence + The Machine have made an appearance at No.24 with 'Ship To Wreck' and Disclosure are set for a fifth Top 40 hit with new Gregory Porter collaboration, 'Holding On' at No.33.
