Noel Gallagher would get Oasis back together if Paul McCartney writes them a song

Musician Noel Gallagher has revealed that he would reform Oasis if Sir Paul McCartney agreed to write a song for them.

The Beatles icon recently told press that he would love to see the 'Wonderwall' hitmakers reunite, suggesting they should "just get together and make some good music", and Gallagher has now revealed that he read his comments and would love for him to get involved.

Speaking to Yahoo! Music, he explained: "I did read that, yeah... tell him if he writes our comeback single, it's on. Tell him to write an Oasis track and then we'll talk. I'll just put that out there."

Gallagher, meanwhile, recently spoke out about One Direction's longevity and told James Corden that they don't have much longer left at the top: "I can't understand why he would do it - because they've only got, at most, five years left. He should just stand at the back, smoke weed, get laid, just pick the cheque up and go home. But he should get himself a good accountant."
