Apple unveils music streaming service

Technology giant Apple has ventured into the music streaming world, with the unveiling of Apple Music at WWDC 2015 today (June 8).

The company will launch this exciting new service, which will rival Spotify and Tidal, on June 30 at a cost of $9.99 (£6.50) per month with up to six family members being able to use the service for $14.99 (£9.70) per month and it will be coming to both iOS and Android.

Users will be able to stream from iTunes' extensive catalogue of songs and the service will also include its very own 24/7 live global radio station called Beats One, with live presenters - including former BBC presenter Zane Lowe.

In addition to all of this, artists of every size (including unsigned acts) will also be able to connect directly with artists through a feature called Connect, which allows acts to upload music, videos and photos.

The service will land on June 30 at a cost of $9.99 per month.
