Big Sean: 'We need to stop misdiagnosing kids'

Hitmaker Big Sean has revealed that he believes a lot of young people today are misdiagnosed by doctors and this new generation just has a very different set of methods for retaining information and learning new things.

He recently opened up a recording studio at his alma mater, Cass Technical High School in Detroit, and told MTV News that he's not scared to embrace innovative teaching techniques because education changes so quickly:

"Me and Adidas [Originals] teamed up and I just opened my own recording studio in the high school for the kids. Education is changing, man. A lot of these kids, they're out of the traditional way of learning."

He added: "We try and misdiagnose them with things like ADD or this and that, and sometimes it may be the case, sometimes it's not. Sometimes, they're addicted to their phones because that's how they're learning now. Things are changing. This is a step forward in that direction."
