Jess Glynne has revealed that she is due to undergo vocal surgery.

The singer confirmed today (June 15) that she will have to cancel some live dates as a result.

The Brit posted on Instagram: "I am so so sad to tell you that I'm having to have vocal surgery next week.

"I'm so sorry and it kills me but I have to cancel some forthcoming shows and festivals."

"I'm a little scared but I will be back singing better than ever very soon! Love hugs and kisses Jess xxx."

Jess Glynne pulled out of the Isle of Wight festival this weekend.

Her next tour date listed on her website is a show in Wales on October 31.

The news comes just weeks after Sam Smith had an operation on his throat.
