Kendrick Lamar on Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood': 'My niece thinks I'm cool'

'King Kunta' rapper Kendrick Lamar has revealed that he agreed to collaborate with Taylor Swift on her 'Bad Blood' remix because he knew it would make his young niece happy.

During a new interview with BBC Radio 1, the star was asked how the joint project came about and admitted that he knew it would be a great way to introduce his niece to his music in a more family-friendly way: "This is for my little niece to think I'm cool. I like the fact my little niece can dance to it."

He also recently told Ellen DeGeneres that he was excited when Swift called him up to share her ideas for 'Bad Blood' and said yes instantly: "She reached out. I've always been a fan of hers, and she was a fan of my music and she reached out and we got it done."
